“Always”

Nature is a gift
for us to enjoy
instills a peace
in girl and boy

Taking us to places
we could only dream
a forest, meadow
or a cool mountain stream

We breathe it’s fresh air
to awaken the senses
it alleviates our souls
and all life’s expenses

Brings families together
for memories to share
our lives for those moments
are devoid of despair

Yes, Nature is a gift
that is always right there

“All’s Right Nothing’s Wrong”

A dew-dropped rose
a newly born fawn
twilight before dawn
all’s right nothing’s wrong

The sky is painted
from our star below
day begins
the flight of the Crow
it’s time for Nature to get up and go

The Sun warms Earth
it feeds the trees
flower to flower
collecting pollen the bees

High noon hits
head to shade
replenish the fluid
so one won’t fade

Light’s angle changes
let the coolness begin
murmuration of starlings
waves go out then come in

Day moves on
survivors lucky or strong
crickets take stage
with a chorus of song

Sun sets below
stars and Moon aglow
all’s right nothing’s wrong

“A Walk Through the Forest”

A walk through the forest
to clear the mind
leaving life’s troubles
in the past…far behind

Living in the moment
the here the now
small things to worry about
wiping sweat from your brow

With Wind in hair
and Sun on face
Nature warms the heart
with God’s good grace

The bird’s sweet songs
fall on listening ears
simple things in life
that help us through the years

Wildflower fragrances
along trickling streams
foggy moisture-laden meadows
penetrating Sunbeams

Take a walk through the forest
and you will find
connecting with Nature
will give a clear mind
